Mass Communication Department Organized Befitting Farewell Party for the Former Dean

The Department of Mass communication hosted a sendoff Dinner Party in honour of the retired immediate past FICT Dean, Dr. Akanmu Ayobami Theophilus Lawal on the 9th of September, 2021 at NLH 1 hall, Osun state Polytechnic, iree.

The event had in attendance of the celebrant wife; Deaconess Olubusola Ayobami, Director of Enterpreneurship; Dr. Lawrence Olufemi Ademiluyi, Dean FICT; Phillip Ewuola, HOD Mass communication department; Tope Abiola and others were present to pay their respect to the past FICT Dean for his enormous contributions to the growth of Faculty of Information and Communication Technology.

Mr. Idowu Akinrosoye who gave the welcome remarks at the occasion described Dr. A.T Lawal as a man with foresight and intelligent father. He further commends his role in bringing Professionalism to mass communication department. This was followed by a mark of respect given by other Lecturer by unanimously individual admiration for  Dr. A.T Lawal and how he has significantly impacted the growth of Osun state Polytechnic and have established lifelong friendships.

Dr. Olufemi Ademiluyi during his speech gave an insight into the over 20years service of Dr. A.T Lawal both as a Lecturer and a regulator during his tenure as the Dean of Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, he redefined the quality of service provided by the faculty and made it rank as one of the best Faculty in Osun state Polytechnic, iree.

Mr Tope Abiola, HOD of Mass communication Department in a closing remark said Dr. A.T lawal will be greatly missed in Osun state Polytechnic and thanked him for his efforts in supporting and pushing the growth of the great Department. He concluded by wishing him a wonderful time as he take on life new challenge.
